I'm so thrilled to have finished 50K words on November 29!
I still can't believe I did it. I am celebrating. I am tired. I am in need of coffee. I am realizing how much of life I've neglected while chasing 50K.
There's a lovely writer crew on discord that was so supportive for all of NaNo. We did writing sprints together, they helped me troubleshoot scenes, they shrugged in my direction when I was panicking about all things first-time writer. I'm very grateful for them.
I'm incredibly grateful for my beautiful partner. He is my biggest cheerleader and facilitator. He not only believes I can do it, he makes time and space for me to do it. There's no greater joy than being on the journey with him.
Now, I still need to finish this book. But I'm getting close. Another 10K or maybe 20, another week or two of writing, and I should get there. And then I need to figure out how to refine it. But for now, I'm just going to bask in the happiness of having hit this major milestone.
